After years in ministry my retirement allowed me to study and to share my resulting visions with students at Osher Lifelong Learning at the University of Delaware. Courses I've thought: Exploring Christian Roots, "Q", Jesus the 'mensch', Spirituality, Gnosticism, The Axial Age, Even God has a History.

It will happen, or not, in its own time and place. I don't believe you can make or will it to happen. But it is not magic. You need to do the work. You need to set the conditions, and you need to then recognize it when it happens. It is not necessarily repeatable either. It is a personal experience that will probably not be relatable to others.
